GAS TURBINE OVERHAULS (Stud Removals)

Foretract Engineering is equipped to deal with stud removal in the power industry, in particular turbine overhauls. During a recent overhaul on GE turbines we saved the client days of lost time by effectively dealing with seized/ broken horizontal studs on the vertical cover flanges. We have mounting plates to suit GE frame size 6 – 9. Bolt shanks are removed in situ followed by the thread removal once the covers are moved away from the turbine. We are also prepared for smaller hard to drill studs on exhaust flange studs on smaller turbines.
Again we can either mobilise by fully kitted out vehicle or by lightweight airfreight package.

Site requirements are a cold water supply, ½” hose.
Air supply for impact gun.
415/440 v 32Amp power supply (most welding sockets are suitable)

HYDRAULICS

We have a vast amount of experience fault finding and with the repair of complex electro/hydraulic control systems. Our equipment includes the latest digital diagnostic equipment for pressure and flow. Oil condition can be monitored using our particle monitoring system.
We are also able to manufacture hydraulic hose on site with our portable equipment.

Our office and workshops are based near to the M6 at Penrith which gives us good central access to most areas of the UK.
