High Speed Caramaran, Main Engine Cylinder Head Stud

SpeedFerries operate a high speed, regular fast ferry service between Dover and Boulogne. They required a broken stud to be removed from the main engine entablature.
A broken cylinder head stud usually requires reduced power from the engine and thus service timetables can suffer. SpeedFerries therefore require a fast and efficient service, where work is carried out in maintenance periods allowed for in the timetable. (usually overnight).
Foretract Engineering are able to mobilise rapidly, (often working on the same day that the operator’s engineer calls us). We carry out this service regularly for most of the fast ferry operators in the UK and no voyages have ever been delayed due to our work overrunning.
