Stud Flaw Testing
Foretract believe in looking at the complete engineering solution to a given problem. In the case of engine broken cylinder head studs, after the removal of a broken stud from an engine, Foretract will then carry out ultrasonic flaw testing on the remaining studs on that cylinder. This can be in the form of a routine Ultrasonic scan of the studs on a cylinder where a stud has failed or a full engine stud survey. Studs can be surveyed while in tension in the engine, and a report issued with scan images showing any flaws in the stud.
