Trophy Stud hanging in the Foretract workshop

Le Havre Ferry – broken bolt removal

Recently, we received a call to attend a ferry in Le Havre to address a critical issue: several cap screws securing the air cooler to the engine had sheared, leading to air leakage. Our skilled engineers were promptly dispatched to carry out the broken bolt removal and replace them with new ones. Despite the challenging working conditions onboard, they successfully completed the task within a meticulous 2-day period.

During their work aboard the ship, one of our engineers came across a fascinating discovery. In the workshop, they found a section of a broken cylinder head stud featuring our distinctive 1-inch square hole. The team kept this piece as a ‘Trophy’ after removing it back in 2006, just a year after our company first began specializing in stud removal.

With over 25 years of experience, we pride ourselves on our expertise in removing all types of broken bolts and studs. Our team’s ability to tackle complex challenges is a testament to our dedication and proficiency in our field. Whether we work on ships, industrial machinery, or any other equipment, we can tackle any request with precision and efficiency.
