Machine shop tap removal
Foretract were recently contacted by a local machine shop in Cumbria who regularly manufacture equipment for the nuclear industry. They had several taps snapped in equipment that was waiting to be sent to a customer of theirs.
Our team were mobilised and attended to spark erode the the taps without causing damage to the threads.
While carrying out this job it was noted there was another smaller tap that had snapped, our technician was able to inspect it and manufacture the correct size electrode back at the Foretract Engineering workshop.
We then returned to the customer who was happy with the quick service that they received.
